My favorite sandwich in NYC is no longer availabe. It was half a pastrami sandwich and a bowl of mushroom barley soup from the 2nd Avenue Deli. Not around. Second favorite: at City Bakery. I think it was sourdough toast with smoked salmon, avocado, and arugula–but haven’t had it in a while.
