The thing I love at Beerntsen’s is
the olive-nut sandwich. Been on the menu since at least the 1940s. Just grind up green olives and probably walnuts and stick together with a little mayo. is my guess. That place is on its 4th generation ownership now. I worked there in Summer 1948 and had friends working there while in HS in 1944-4
